  • 1. Mystique (X-Men) – Although not a literal shape shifter, Averine often adopts an alternate persona for a specific purpose. She plays the part she must to accomplish a goal. Her most notable shift is her seductress persona. 2. Ariel (The Little Mermaid) – In the most literal sense, Averine, like Ariel, does not always see eye to eye with her father. Both women are very spirited and not content to sit idly and let others do things for them. Averine is also stubborn, often due to her strength of conviction. Above all, both women trust themselves and will follow a gut feeling or a pull at the heart to the end of the world for something important to them. 3. Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender) – Averine has a spitfire personality and is very passionate in everything she does. Azula is also a woman who knows what she wants and will do whatever she has to in order to get it. While Averine may not share Azula’s cruel methods, she does share the desire behind them. Her words may be coated in honey, but Averine has no qualms about gently bending someone to her will to suit her own needs. Kind manipulation is manipulation nonetheless. Unlike Azula, however, Averine has limits. 4. Katsa (Graceling) – While Averine’s fighting skill is not on the level of Katsa’s, both women have similar strengths. Averine is an agile fighter first, a strength fighter second. She is hard to pin and very good at getting herself out of a tight spot. Averine will also defend a friend or ally to her own death. Like Katsa, Averine is also not fond of being owned by anyone. While she doesn’t have a direct problem with authority, she is also not afraid to disobey an order she finds contradicts her own values. She belongs to herself and no one else. 5. Zidane Tribal (Final Fantasy IX) – Zidane has a carefree, laidback personality and is often described as a skirt-chaser. Averine’s own personality is free-spirited, and casual, and she’s certainly more than a bit of a flirt, but she is very aware of the troubles of the world and those close to her even if she doesn’t let them affect her own nature. The most notable quality of Zidane’s that she shares, however, is his creativity and admittedly occasionally recklessness. Averine would never intentionally put someone else in danger, but she occasionally adopts a “figure it out as we go” approach. That being said, she’s creative in her improvisation and very good at thinking on her feet.
