Sir William Josiah Grimshaw (29 November 1886 - 12 September 1958) was a local politician active in the Hornsey area. Born in Yorkshire, Grimshaw moved to the London suburbs. He became a councillor on Hornsey Borough Council in 1927, an alderman from 1940 until his death and was three times Mayor of Hornsey. In 1939 he was elected to Middlesex County Council, becoming an alderman in 1949. He was twice chairman of the county council in 1951-53. He was also a member of the Metropolitan Water Board and a justice of the peace for the County of Middlesex.
