Ray Claw (レイクロー Rei Kurō?) is the Special Weapon that X gains from defeating Neon Tiger in Mega Man Xtreme 2. When equipped, X holds out a short-ranged, energy crescent blade from his buster. This blade of light stays attached to his buster for practically an unlimited time until it makes contact with an enemy, the player charges the weapon up (in which case causes X to stop) or when the Weapons Screen is brought up. When charged, X fires a stream of light particles that travel in random directions - in this form, Ray Claw is more or less an uncharged version of Ray Splasher from Mega Man X3. A charged Ray Claw can be rather helpful in eliminating enemies that may be in awkward positions to attack from.

| - Ray Claw (レイクロー Rei Kurō?) is the Special Weapon that X gains from defeating Neon Tiger in Mega Man Xtreme 2. Ray Claw is Volt Catfish Velguarder and Berkana's weakness. In Boss Attack Mode, Morph Moth is weak to Ray Claw as well. When using Ray Claw, if the player attempts to charge this weapon by pressing and holding the B Button before closing the subscreen or by shifting though other Special Weapons, the uncharged version will automatically fire, wasting Weapon Energy. If the player wishes to simply use only the charged version of Ray Claw without firing a normal shot first, the player must deliberately make X contact an enemy before holding the B Button, or, when fighting a boss, by equipping the desired weapon first, then holding the B Button down as the boss's health fills up. Alternatively, the player can also switch to a different Special Weapon, pressing and holding the B Button while X is present on the screen, and while still holding the B Button down, the player can open the subscreen and select Ray Claw; once the subscreen is closed, X will begin to charge up Ray Claw without wasting any Weapon Energy.
