However, the ship found great favor with test pilot and renowned alliance squadron leader, Colonel Sapes. The colonel quickly put through orders for his squadron to receive the first twelve of these vessels and the additional crew to man each vessel. The heavy fire power, however, comes with a cost. Not only are these ships incredibly expensive, but they also require four times as many crew per squadron, thus further taxing the Loris Empire's military resources. Loris is currently phasing out its aging assault fleet to facilitate the slow introduction of the Rogue-class Armed Transport.
