Swamptroopers are a segment of the Scout Trooper division of the Stormtrooper Corps trained to operate for extended periods in marshy environments. * Une combinaison intégrale blindée totalement hermétique, permettant au soldat de se mouvoir au point de n'être repérable que par des scanners, et d'un système vital autonome, à l'instar des équipements mis à la disposition des R.A.D troopers. Il y eu trois types de combinaisons ; une avec un fusil blaster, une autre en tout points semblables à celle des Scout troopers et enfin une que portèrent les soldats dans les marais de Yavin 4 munie d'un lance-fléchettes.
* Un casque muni d'un filtre à oxygène, d'une vision infrarouge bien plus perfectionnée que celle des Stormtroopers normaux.
* Des grenade à concussion, d'un lance grappin extrêmement perfectionné, d'un blaster ou d'un lance-fléchettes FC-1. Ces soldats brillèrent aux côtés des Scout troopers démontrant une fois de plus la supériorité Impériale.
