Wheel of Life was a concept of Tsurani religion regarding life, death and rebirth. According to their belief, all dead should return to life, but their position in the new life would depend on how honorably they died before. Those who displeased the gods would be born as poor, beggars or slaves. The purpose of the Wheel was a higher rebirth and eventually perhaps some kind of salvation from the countless rebirths. Those who come back in a lower form would find salvation from pain and deprivation impossible.

Tsurani slaves for example knew that their humble devotion to work was their only hope of earning a higher place upon the Wheel and they worked tirelessly, because to be lazy or disobeying their lawful masters, brought disfavour of the gods, ensuring return as animals. Soldiers, and perhaps all Tsurani would wish to die as warriors or by taking their life honorably or at least die in any way by a blade, something that would ensure a better incarnation. On the other hand criminals, spies or servants thought to perform a grave crime, would be deprived by their Ruling Lord such a honor and were hanged, condemning them into a lower incarnation.
