In order to perform the technique the shinobi first forms the required hand seals before exerting a large mass of chakra that is then converted into a large mass of water. The moment the chakra is converted into water the mass of water is compressed to the point of instability. The formless compressed mass of water is so unstable that the slightest touch could set it off, which makes this technique very difficult to use because of how much skill is required to keep it from decompressing to soon.

| - In order to perform the technique the shinobi first forms the required hand seals before exerting a large mass of chakra that is then converted into a large mass of water. The moment the chakra is converted into water the mass of water is compressed to the point of instability. The formless compressed mass of water is so unstable that the slightest touch could set it off, which makes this technique very difficult to use because of how much skill is required to keep it from decompressing to soon. From here, they utilize shape transformation to mold the water into the shape of a sphere or some other easily throwable shape. Typically the water will fit comfortably in the shinobi's hand like a Rasengan, but it isn't always the case. Whether it does or not depends on how much the shinobi was able to compress it. If they weren't able to compress it a lot, which would lessen the technique's potential power, it may not on the other hand if they were able to compress it a great deal, which would mean the sphere holds a great deal more potential destructive power, it may be much smaller than their hand. Finally, the technique is ready. The user throws the mass of water at the opponent with enough force for it to speed toward the opponent like a shooting star. On impact, the sphere rapidly decompresses bursting violently outward like a giant explosion, creating a tidal wave that engulfs the entire area and create wide-spread destruction. The technique is strong enough to be an excellent counter to some of the strongest Fire and sometimes Earth Release techniques such as Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction or Fire Release: Great Flame Flower.
