The random event which caused axe heads and handles was removed by Jagex after much negativity from players on the official forums. Many were upset over the fact that dragon hatchet heads, worth a few million, could fly off and be lost if the player wasn't paying attention or had connection problems. The events also caused many annoyances as eagle-eyed players picked up the flying handle or head and then ransomed it back to the original owner so they could get their axe back. Incidents such as this contributed to the eventual deletion of this event. At first this item couldn't be re-equipped once it was unequipped but that was added in a update, they also didn't make a very good weapon as they had no stats.
