Built on Earth, the UNSC Jacob Keyes was to be the second of the Infinity-class and was assigned to be the main head of the Earth defense fleet, and had all the Infinity-class standard weaponry. After the mysterious Galaxy Rapture appeared, one of the fleets sent by the United Nations Space Core was Keyes group, headed by the UNSC Jacob Keyes. When the fleet got there they stumbled upon a new planet already occupied by the Covenant Remnant (Fracture), later known as Sanghelius. Soon the First battle of Fracture began, with the UNSC terribly losing ships. Soon all but 2 Marathon-class cruisers and the UNSC Jacob Keyes were left.
