Coming to the Sept (then still called the Wheel Renewed), she was met with elders who were dutiful to the training of their cub but indifferent to her emotional needs. At one point, having befriended a couple of Glass Walkers, she dyed her hair blue and ran away to the city, wanting to join them, but was turned away; as a cub, she would either have to be given over by her elders or she would have to pass her Rite, become Cliath, and then choose to Renounce. And her elders would not give their cub away to urrah, even a cub like Alice. On her Rite of Passage, a vision quest sent her spirit to the Legendary Realm, where she slipped into the life of a great Silver Fang hero of old, the alpha of a pack. Alice, not ready at all for such a role, quickly became bullying and aggressive toward her packmates, especially the metis omega, and though the quest set before her was completed, before its end, Alice had been deposed and spend the rest of the time being sullen and resentful in an inglorious support role on her own Rite of Passage. At its end, an avatar of Falcon appeared to tell Alice that she'd failed as a Silver Fang, and then it killed her. She died screaming, weeping, and begging for her life. It is worth nothing that that same year, a Homid Fang cub also failed on his Rite of Passage when, living another's life in vision, he willingly drank a vampire's blood and became a ghouled servant of that same Leech. This cub, unlike the angry, difficult-to-like little metis, was given a second chance. Because being a metis sucks. Metis Flaw: Puny (4' in homid, 6' in crinos)
