Mrs Watson was a customer of the Corner Shop who almost every day demanded to know if the bread was fresh, always receiving the answer that it was. Tricia Hopkins coped with the irritant but when she felt both her job and living accommodation in the flat were under threat following Renee Bradshaw’s recent purchase of the premises, she snapped at Mrs Watson that it was the same as it was every day. The offended lady stormed out, saying that from now on she would shop at the Co-op instead. Renee came through from the back having heard the exchange and reprimanded her assistant, making the relationship between them even worse.
