| - The prologue, narrated by Tact, briefly recaps the events of the first game, Galaxy Angel. Tact undergoes a "flashback" where he asked his chosen Angel out to the dance. This is a convenient plot device to allow the player to continue whichever route he/she played in the previous game, thus remaining faithful. The prologue ends after the flashback. However, there is one more purpose to the select-an-Angel scene: if the player has installed the Chitose add-on pack (or is playing the PS2 version), and if the player has already cleared at least one other Angel's route, the player can select a mysterious empty room, and if he does so, instead of a flashback of asking a girl out, the prologue will end with Chitose briefly summarizing her past, and the game will then proceed on Chitose's route instead of one of the first game's Angels. Note that the Chitose path starts off assuming that Takuto ended the first game partnered with no Angel at all, and while Moonlit Lovers itself treats this in a benign enough manner, the only way for that outcome to happen if you were actually playing the first game is if Takuto, in chapter 10 of the first game, made such a bad choice that whichever Angel he asked to the dance lost all romantic interest in him.
