- thumb|Griffith Griffith ist sozusagen Guts Gegenspieler, aber auch hier ist der Charakter so komplex wie die Story die ihn umgibt (und die er fast mehr mitgestaltet als Guts selbst). Bei seinem ersten Auftritt wird relativ deutlich, dass Guts ihn hasst, die Gründe dafür lassen sich im Laufe der Story entschlüsseln. Auch tritt Griffith als Teil einer Gruppe übermächtiger Wesen (The God's Hand) auf. Man erfährt früh in der Geschichte, dass Griffith die Falken, denen auch Guts angehörte, leitete und mit Guts sehr gut befreundet gewesen zu seien scheint. Auch wenn sein Antrieb schnell verständlich wird, bleibt Griffith ein faszinierender Charakter, bei dem mehr als einmal die Frage aufkommt was wirklich in seinem Kopf vorgeht.

- Griffith is the main antagonist of Berserk alongside the God Hand. In the beginning, however, he was the secret antagonist. He is the founder and leader of the mercenary army Band of the Hawk. Later regaining his corporeal form three years later, having learned his significance in the Idea of Evil's plan, Griffith recruits a new Band of the Hawk to fulfill his dream of a kingdom of his own. - Griffith (グリフィス, Gurifisu) is the main antagonist of Berserk and a playable character in BERSERK and the Band of the Hawk. Complete "First Battle" in Story Mode to unlock his human form. Originally born as a peasant, Griffith has aspired to obtain glory in war and to defy the accepted fate of the suppressed and unceremonious poor. He is inspired by the Behelt he obtains in his childhood to make his dreams of ruling his own country a reality. Through his cunning, skill, and raw charisma, Griffith establishes his own mercenary unit called the Band of the Hawk many years later. It is during its formative years that he inspires Casca to join him; Griffith beats Guts in a duel and forces him into the group three years before their contract with the Kingdom of Midland.
