The club played its first five years after foundation in the fourth-level Vtoraya Liga, before earning promotion to the third tier Pervaya Liga in 2003. Orenburg was a member of the Pervaya Liga until 2007, when they were promoted to the Vysshaya Liga. The league was reformed in 2010 and Orenburg was relegated, subsequently dissolving. Since 2010, they have exclusively fielded a junior team, known as Belye Tigry, which plays in the Minor Hockey League, Russia's national junior competition.
