Alpha of Eltar, or more commonly known as Alpha 5, is the Gold Ranger of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. An armored warrior, Gold Ranger had the power of the Stegosaurus and Panda channeled through his Power Morpher and Power Coins. Unlike his TV counterpart, he was built/born on Eltar instead of Edenoi, and was built as a warrior and sentinel. Zordon is his caretaker and trusted friend, however, in this continuity the identity of his creator(s) is unconfirmed. His Ranger weapon is the Stegosaurus Boomerang which (like Scorpina's sword-arang) can double as a sword during close combat.

| - Alpha of Eltar, or more commonly known as Alpha 5, is the Gold Ranger of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Like the other Rangers, he competed in the skydiving event for the Observatory, but was allowed to use the thrusters built into the soles of his feet. When the Command Center was destroyed, Alpha, along with the rest of the Rangers were forced to teleport to Phaedos in order to retrieve the Great Power with the last remaining power of the Command Center, to the dying Zordon's protests. Once there, he and the other rangers meet Dulcea and her daughter Alarea, who once learning of their mentor Zordon's plight, help them tap into the power of the Ninjetti, where Alpha learned that within his circuits, there is an animal spirit waiting to be released- his being the Panda. As Ninjetti, he and the rangers travel to the Monolith in order to retrieve the Great Power. Though waylaid by the Gatekeepers, Alpha and the others manage to access the Monolith, which also bore the Panda symbol among its many creature emblems. It is here where Alpha gained the power of the Panda Ninjazord. The zords return the rangers' powers and Alpha finds himself clad in his familiar ranger armor with the Panda's symbol emblazoned on his chest. He returned to Angel Grove with the other Rangers to battle Ivan Ooze and emerged victorious. With his Ninjetti power, he, along with the other rangers managed to revive the dying Zordon, reconstitute his energy tube and return the Command Center to a fully-functioning state. He is voiced by Richard Horvitz and suit-acted by Peta-Maree Rixon. His morphed self is suit-acted by an uncredited actor.
