William Thornton Carter II (September 14th, 1900 - January 28th, 1985) was a First Class passenger of the Titanic. He survived the sinking. The Carter family had been living in England for about a year, and they boarded Titanic in Southampton. William Thornton II joined his father, mother and sister on the ship. William was rescued in Lifeboat 4, and survived the sinking. The rest of his family also survived. William Thornton Carter II died on January 28th, 1985; he was the last Titanic survivor to die before the wreck was discovered on September 1st, 1985.

His least favorite part of the ship was the Grand Staircase, because people are always on it like they own it because they were in First Class.
