The 1969 Yankee 600 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Michigan International Speedway on August 17, 1969. It was the only time other than the "Coke 600" that a 600-mile race was attempted. However, rain halted the race many miles short, with eventual season champ David Pearson being awarded the win.
