There are currently 14 ministries since the creation of the Ministry of Environment in 2005. After the fall of Leubantia and the creation of the People's Republic of Leubantia, the ministries were decided to be kept at their state before the war instead of being altered after a day-long debate between high Communist Party officials. The fall of communism in 1989 and the Leubantian Revolution of 1989 in 1989 occurred, and Ritśart Likla (the President of Leubantia during the transitional period) began to create seven new ministries to make the ministry system more diverse and efficient (the Ministry of Home Affairs was being overloaded with duties), but couldn't finish because his time in office ended. His democratically elected successor, Karol Weunford, picked up on his efforts and created the new ministries. Tomas Bela created the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to serve a purpose which was being done by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and putting strain on the ministry. Peter Stefansen created the Ministry of Environment at the beginning of his term in hopes that is would help improve the environmental situation in Leubantia.
