As a member of the Big Five, the United Kingdom was pre-qualified for the final. Joe & Jake previewed their song during the second semifinal along with the songs from Germany and Italy. In the final, the song was performed 25th following Austria and preceding Armenia. At the close of voting, it finished in 24th place with 62 points.

Not Alone) ist ein musikalisches Thema in Final Fantasy IX, welches gespielt wird, nachdem Zidane Tribal im Pandämonium von Garlant erfährt, dass er ein Genom ist und eigentlich die Zerstörung Gaias herbeiführen sollte. Da Zidane sich weigert, diese Aufgabe zu übernehmen, versucht Garlant ihn unbrauchbar zu machen. Innerlich erfüllt ihn ein Gefühl der Leere und Einsamkeit. Als seine Freunde ihn finden und ihm helfen wollen, versucht er sie fort zu schicken, um auf eigene Faust Garlants Treiben ein Ende zu bereiten. Letztendlich kann Garnet ihn überzeugen, dass er nicht alleine ist und sich auf seine Freunde verlassen kann.
