Jin Mao Tower is a super tall skyscraper in Shanghai, China. It was built in 1997. At 421 metres, it was the tallest building in China until it's next door neighbor, the Shanghai World Financial Center surpassed it in 2007. It will then be surpassed by the much larger Shanghai Tower in 2014. In 2008, French urban climber Alain Robert climbed the building until when he reached the top, he was arrested and expelled from China for life.
