It is similar to the RG550, but features DiMarzio made IBZ/USA pickups, a bound rosewood fingerboard and sharktooth inlays. During its production run, several changes were made to the RG750. In 1990, a new neck pickup and finishes with color-matched headstocks were introduced. In 1991 the middle pickup was changed as well. Finally, 1992 models got the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo. Paul Gilbert has used and still uses an orange one, modded with varying pickups, fixed bridge and dinosaur stickers. The RG750 was discontinued after 1992. In 1994 a similar looking model was introduced as the RG550LTD.
