| - General Krul is the leader of a separatist movement and enemy to the Silver Sable and by extension, Doctor Doom.
Early history
Francis Krul was the son of a Symkarian general who was killed following a surprise attack at the base he was stationed at. Francis aspired to be just like him and joined the army. He quickly rose through the ranks and became a general, just like his father. However, unlike his father, he grew mad with power and plotted to take control of Symkaria. He quickly gathered up an army of followers.
An army
His army was surprisingly large and had a navy, air force and ground troops. After filling the army in on his plan of attack, he led them to the capital of Symkaria and attacked mercilessly. However he was stopped by the sudden arrival of the Silver Sable who had been hired by the Symkarian government to stop him and his army. Engaging each other the Silver Sable tricked him into shooting at a large tanker of oil and while she managed to get away Krul was caught in the explosion and was horribly scarred and deformed.
Life as a cyborg
Following Krul's defeat, 19% of his army left him having lost faith in their leader. Krul had to have his left eye replaced with a mechanical one that had a zoom function, and could see in infra-red and ultraviolet light. His right arm had to be replaced by a mechanical one but could switch between machine gun mode and flamethrower mode and both legs had to be amputated and replaced as well. Krul also began to wear a red uniform and added a Kevlar cape. He was completely dedicated to taking control over Symkaria and on one occasion, Latveria. He has hired mercenaries and villainous groups to help him succeed in his task, only to be thwarted by the Silver Sable and her allies. To hide his burns he started to wear a mask made out of a thick bulletproof material.
Earth-2149
After the zombies left Latveria to attack the surrounding countries Symkaria was one of the first places to be attacked. General Krul and his army were seen being attacked by Tigra, Nighthawk and Nextwave. Despite putting up a good fight Krul was killed by a zombified Tigra, who pounced on him and ate him off-panel . He was later seen participating in the fight against the zombie heroes over Galactus' remains but was crushed when Archelon was killed and fell over.

| - While the name of the character is based on a character mentioned on the Simpsons, the cyborg aspect of the character is based on what the character Arnold Toht from Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost Ark could have looked like had George Lucas decided against it, claiming that it was too unrealistic .
