- Alf is relegated once again to the attic when the Tanners throw a Hawaiian luau.
- It's Soo's birthday and everyone is planning a surprise party. Sooty is sad because he wants to help, but no one needs him. Elsewhere, Soo thinks that everyone has forgotten her birthday and runs away from home to be with her dolls, "the only true friends she has in the world". Sooty finds Soo in the shed crying and explains to her that everyone was pretending to forget and that she's going to have a big birthday party. Soo doesn't believe this, so Sooty proves it by turning them invisible and spying on the rest of the gang crying at the party because they think they've lost Soo for good. Soon, everything is resolved and the friends promise never to take Sooty for granted again. Everyone then enjoys the party and Richard reads his birthday poem for Soo.
- In order to pay back people that have had the Tanners over to their houses, Kate and Willie decide to throw a party of their own, in spite of their fear that ALF will interfere. When a storm ruins their outdoor luau, the party must move indoors. ALF is disappointed because the pig is ruined in the rain. After the party, Lynn meets Robert Sherwood, the caterer's assistant, who would later become her boyfriend.
