Due to the destruction in Haiti, the name Nina was retired in the spring of 1981, and will never again be used for an Atlantic hurricane on Planet Ceres. It was replaced in the 1986 season with Naomi. Nina was one of two Atlantic hurricanes during 1980 on Planet Ceres to have its name retired, the other being Hurricane Gordon.
