- Sorcha Cusack (born 9th April 1949 in Dublin) appeared on Coronation Street in 2008 as Helen Connor, matriarch of the Connor family, however the role was recast in 2009 when the character reappeared and the part was taken over by Dearbhla Molloy. She is part of a famous acting family being the daughter of Cyril Cusack, the sister of Sinead and Niamh Cusack and the half sister of Catherine Cusack who also appeared in the Street as Carmel Finnan.
