The Communist Party of the Soviet Union, also shortened to CPSU, was the ruling party in Russia from 1917 until 1991. As the name suggests, tt was a totalitarian communist party, the first of it's kind in fact.

- It emerged from the Bolshevik faction of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party, under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin. The party led the 1917 October Revolution that overthrew the Russian Provisional Government and established the world's first socialist state. Given the central role under the Constitution of the Soviet Union, the party controlled all tiers of government in the Soviet Union and did not tolerate any opposition. Its organization was subdivided into communist parties of the constituent Soviet republics as well as the mass youth organization, Komsomol.
- The party was formed shortly after the formation of the Soviet Union alliance. Velken, the leader of the alliance at that time formed the party along with Anubis. Together the two men slowly built the USSR and got the party on its feet, other members such as Bubba The Great and CavalierCuddles would join the party. During his reign as President, Velken would reorganize the alliance by drafting the Constitution of the Soviet Union which would allow for a multi-party system. This did not go over well with some of the parties members especially Anubis who would later on leave the party and form his own, the Skull Party. | - The Communist Party of the Soviet Union, also shortened to CPSU, was the ruling party in Russia from 1917 until 1991. As the name suggests, tt was a totalitarian communist party, the first of it's kind in fact. The CPSU formed out of the Bolshevik faction of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party in 1912. As the Soviet Union wasn't officially created until 1922, the name of the party was until then the Bolshevik Russian Social Democratic Labour Party, or something to that effect. It became the Communist Party of the Soviet Union when the Soviet Union was formed in 1922, an act ratified by the 1924 Constitution.
