Setting UpBefore starting, a moderator must be selected and it is advisable for this person to have paper and a writing utensil to help keep track of players. The moderator will host the game and will hold onto the "Good/Evil" card, along with the "Moderator" card. The moderator will give each player a role card which will be presented face down. Players will then look at their own card to see which role they are, but they must not show their card to others. Once everyone has figured out their roles, they shall place their cards face down. • Setting UpBefore starting, a moderator must be selected and it is advisable for this person to have paper and a writing utensil to help keep track of players. Then once everyone has settled in, the moderator will announce that it is night time. Night OneNow that the moderator has announced that it is night time, all players must close their eyes as if they were going to sleep. The moderator will then ask the Mafia to wake. The Mafia will open their eyes and see who their fellow Mafia members are and then they will go back to sleep. The Mafia can't kill night one. Roles such as the Investigator and Sheriff have night abilities. One by one, the moderator will ask these roles to wake to perform their ability and then return to sleep immediately after receiving their results. When it is a Sheriff's turn to wake, the Sheriff will point to a person who they wish to investigate. If the player is innocent, the moderator will pick up the "Good/Evil" card and show the "Good" side to the Sheriff. If the player is an evil role, the moderator will display the "Evil" side to the Sheriff. When it is an Investigator's turn to wake, the Investigator will point to a person who they wish to investigate. The moderator will then display that player's role card to the Investigator. Due to the fact that no roles may kill on night one, it is not necessary to wake roles such as the Bodyguard and Doctor. While the possibility of the Veteran alerting n1 has not been elaborated on by BlankMediaGames, if no Killing roles are active, the only reason Veteran has to alert is a Witch. While the game is left open to the players to make the rules, having the Veteran alert n1 is essentially useless. Day OneThe moderator will ask all players to wake. If the players are unfamiliar with the rules, the moderator should explain how the discussion phase, accusation phase and voting phase work. The moderator may decide how long players have in the day time to discuss and vote. Once this is complete, the players may now have a discussion. The moderator should encourage discussion and players should consider sharing information or stirring up a debate. At any point during the discussion, players may begin accusing other players. In order to do so, a player must point to another person and say, "I accuse you". If an individual receives two accusations, they are placed on trial. The moderator will decide how long players have to defend himself or herself. The accused must provide a defense and once they are finished their defense or the time limit has run out, the voting phase will begin. During the voting phase, players will give a thumbs up if they want to vote a player innocent or they will give a thumbs down if they wish to vote guilty. If the majority of players vote innocent, the person is taken off trial and players may continue having a discussion and voting up others until the day runs out of time. If the majority of players vote guilty on a person, that person is hanged and their role is publicly revealed to all players. The Town must immediately go to sleep after and the dead person must remain quiet. It is up to the moderator to decide if dead players should leave the area or simply remain quiet and courteous if they stay. Night Two and OnAll Killing roles may begin killing other players during the night if they choose to. When the Mafia is awake, they may point to a person who they wish to kill. The Mafia will then go back to sleep. The moderator will continue waking players who have night abilities and the moderator must keep track of targets being attacked and protected. Day Two and OnDuring each day, the moderator will reveal who has died and the newly dead players shall reveal their role cards. The dead players may not speak; they must simply reveal their card. Then just like on day one, players will have a discussion and they may place people on trial. Ending the Game"There are many ways the game can end. If the number of Mafia are greater than, or equal to the number of Town, and there are no other Evil roles then the Mafia win. If the Town hangs the last Evil role the Town wins. If the Witch has all of the other players cursed, the Witch wins. The moderator should announce when the game is over, and all players reveal their cards."
