There is two ways in way to get this drug into the body, the first is by injection which was shown to have happen to Cosmo countless times. The next is through eating it in a capsule form, which is mostly how Cosmo gets these into his system now a days. The down side to this drug is that the user will become addicted it to and will constantly need it. Also to the point that upon overdosing on it, it will kill off several thousand brain cells and the user will before "high" on this drug. The case being Cosmo, thus why he is always overly cheerful and seeing the world through "bloody colored glasses". Aside from these affects, the drug seems to have some advantages for Cosmo as well along with his zoan type devil fruit. He is able to have the same affects to that of a rumble ball, helping him stay in a bigger form in a longer period.
