There is a strange phenomenon in a part of the island; a boiling pond. It was a pool of water which frothed and bubbled furiously. The banks on the sides of the pond were eroded from the water. Alexander managed to "cool off" the pond by throwing in a head of Iceberg lettuce. The Boiling Pond was the first of three magical traps set up by the sorceress to trap the Beast Prince on the Isle of the Forest, and to protect others from the curse.
