The Hirogen hunter vessel is the most common ship used by the Hirogen. The Hirogen use these vessels to hunt their prey across their expansive territory, though are not used as traditional warships. The USS Voyager first encountered these ships in 2374 after they used the Hirogen relay station to transmit the Doctor to the Alpha Quadrant. (VOY episode: "Message in a Bottle") Voyager was then attacked by several ships after when they found a message from Starfleet embedded in one of the Hirogen relay stations. (VOY episode: "Hunters")

- The Hirogen warship, also known as a Hirogen hunting vessel, was a small, heavily-armed warship used by Hirogen hunters during the 2370s as they hunted throughout the Delta Quadrant. This class of vessel was usually piloted by two Hunters, an Alpha-Hirogen and a Beta-Hirogen. The vessels were equipped with monotanium armor plating, and had dicyclic warp signatures. Inside the vessel was a large room which included the control stations as well as walls of trophies and bladed weapons. Also included was a harness-like construction to hang their prey on while preparing an osteotomy. (VOY: "Hunters", "Prey")

(VOY: "Hunters", "Prey") The USS Voyager first encountered a Hirogen warship in mid-2374, when they accessed the Hirogen communications network to receive the full message from Starfleet Command. Tuvok and Seven of Nine were hunted down and held as prisoners aboard this ship until Idrin told his Beta-Hirogen to kill their prey. (VOY: "Hunters") Several of these warships were able to defeat an Intrepid-class starship. (VOY: "Hunters")

(VOY episode: "Hunters") On stardate 51652.3 (August 27, 2374), Voyager encountered a Hirogen warship. It's crew of two had been decimated by a member of Species 8472. The ship had been active in that region for five years. During that time, the warship had visited 90 star systems. (VOY episode: "Prey") In 2376, a Hirogen warship attacked the Malon supertanker Apsac. The Hirogen Alpha boarded the Apsac and killed the crew, but was later killed himself by Taran'atar.
