The boompistol is a smaller variant of the boomshot with a larger magazine, but less power. Due to it's size it can be used in conjunction with a boomshield or meatshield, but slows your movement due to it's size and weight. The Boom pistol was first designed by a Locust craftsman with the idea that the boomshot was not easily concealed. The Boom pistol is now a favorite among Grenandiers, and by some Boomers. Boom pistols are often used by Grenandiers as a surprise ambush weapon. They usually come in packs so keep your head down and out of sight. The best way to deal with them is to move from cover to cover while the Locust are reloading (roadie running helps)and kill them fast since the pistols reload is slow. When the Locust fire duck in cover or run! Repeat the steps until all Locust are neutralized. Fighting a Boomer with these guns is extremely difficult, since Boomers carry two of these guns(one in each hand)! A torque bow is the easiest to kill a boomer (if your a good shot) just aim for it's head!
