Vanguard II is a Shoot 'em Up released in 1984 by SNK, and the sequel to Vanguard. The game features improved graphics and sound over it's predecessor. Gameplay changes from the original game includes improved player controls on the ship to move it in all directions. One button is used for a frontal shot while the second button is used to drop bombs on ground targets, controlled by a crosshair above the ship. Unlike the original, Vanguard was never ported to any system until it was bundled as part of the SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 0 for the PSP.
