  • Fly on the Wings of Love was the Danish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 in Stockholm performed by the Olsen Brothers. A mid-tempo ballad with a catchy chorus, British bookmakers at one point had it as a longshot to win at 150-1 odds. The song was performed fourteenth on the night, following Spain and preceding Germany. At the close of voting, it was declared the winner with 195 points after leading right from the start, giving Denmark its second victory and its first in 37 years (a wait that would eventually be beaten by Austria in 2014). It is also memorable for the vocoding effects given to the voice during the final chorus, which allow it to sound something like a robot. These effects were the subject of a protest by the Russian delegation, however they were not found to be against the rules and the result stood. The song was named one of the 14 greatest songs of the contest's first 50 years at the Congratulations gala in 2005, and the Olsens also performed it at the Eurovision's Greatest Hits concert in 2015.
