Kane Bowen is a Force wielidng arena fighter on the planet of Aquilae, the capital of the Aquilae system in a foreign Galaxy to the one seen in the main "Star Wars" Galaxy. His father and other ancestors before him were members of a noble group of warriors called the Bendu who served as the bodyguards for the nobility of their Galaxy, but rebelled during the time Darth Plagueis and Baron Jard Sandage started creating the new Force Power Based regime. His father eventually went into hiding and decided to settle down in life. Eventually getting married and having a son whom he trained in the art and discipline of combat from an early age. As a young man he would eventually fall in love with a young woman named Lyra, but they were hesitant to marry because of the new laws instated by the Sith

His father and other ancestors before him were members of a noble group of warriors called the Bendu who served as the bodyguards for the nobility of their Galaxy, but rebelled during the time Darth Plagueis and Baron Jard Sandage started creating the new Force Power Based regime. His father eventually went into hiding and decided to settle down in life. Eventually getting married and having a son whom he trained in the art and discipline of combat from an early age. As a young man he would eventually fall in love with a young woman named Lyra, but they were hesitant to marry because of the new laws instated by the Sith Regime in power. One of those laws being the right of Herran Oikeus, that gave the top Sith Lord in their jurisdiction the ability to claim sexual rights to a woman on the night of her wedding. They thus decided to marry in secret, but they were eventually found out. A group of soldiers went to arrest both of them, but Kane fought to protect Lyra, and eventually was forced to use his Force abilities that he had kept secret since he was a teenager to protect her when in a fit of rage. However, that wasn't enough alone and they managed to subdue him. It was then that he was forced fight in the arena battles, a place where Force users who didn't allign themselves with or failed in service of the regime were sent to have violent spectable fights to the death for the entertainment of the people. Because of the Bendu training his father had given him since childhood, he had a leg up on things when entering the arena fighter lifestyle. Already being a skilled fighter, he excelled quickly and for decades remained a consistent victor. He would eventually meet the young Jedi named Owen Skywalker, who had been captured by the forces of Darth Plagueis' regime. Baron Sandage, a nobleman of Aquilae and the Sith Lord known as Darth Imperious, decided to have Owen Skywalker become an arena fighter rather than have him executed with having the hopes of still being able to turn him to the Dark Side and use him as a weapon against Plagueis when the time came. The two first met when they were made part of a team in an arena battle, and they eventually talked aferward. Kane took Owen under his wing and taught him how to surive in the arena lifestyle. Owen came to learn that Kane had grown apathetic and bitter towards the world, and thus gave up on the ideals of the Bendu. Embracing the fame that the arena had given him over the years. Owen was desparate to try and get him to join a revolt he was planning against the Sith Regime.
