  • The Native Village is home to N. Sanity Island's tribesmen. It first appeared in Crash Bandicoot. The Native Village is surrounded by a large wooden gate (often referred to as The Great Gate or the Native Fortress). In the first game, there were two separate parts of the Native Village: the first one being to climb up to the Great Gate and the second one being to run through part of the village on a wild hog. The levels were full of traps varying from tribesfolk armed with red shields to big spike columns. The village is placed uphill near the beach. The tribesmen live in big straw huts and a central hut houses Papu Papu, the leader of the tribesmen. The natives would eat everything that sneaked into their territory. In Crash Twinsanity the Native Village was separated in three parts: the first being a doc amok part to save Cortex from the bees and a big bear giving chase to him. In the end of the first part, Cortex was captured by Papu Papu. This is where the second part begins. Crash must rescue Cortex from the natives. He must pass three guarding towers in the river and if Crash is spotted a lot of spears will fly at him and instantly kill him. After passing this part, he enters the village. The village is quite different this time. It has various hog pens to keep the hogs in their territory. Crash goes to save Cortex on the totem pole that he is tied to. The totem falls but Cortex lands in the river, escaping the village. Crash falls into the other part of the village and he is again chased by the tribesmen armed with spears. After a few pits, he jumps and manages to escape and goes to N. Sanity Beach. In Crash Of The Titans it is unknown if the tribesmen have survived the missile tests carried out by N. Gin.
