The Dimholt, literally translating to "dark wood", was situated at the base of the Dwimorberg mountain, past Dunharrow. It is a forest of pine wood and fir. An ancient road is visibly forged there, that leads to a glen where a standing stone that lies in front of the Dark Door, which signifies the entrance to the Paths of the Dead. The pathways lead under the Dwimorberg mountain and have been haunted by the spirits of the men of the mountain of the Third Age. Even Legolas, a woodland elf, could not long endure being under those trees.
