The repetitive epic was a genre of Cardassian literature characterized by a repetition of plot elements and themes. The Never Ending Sacrifice was generally regarded as the genre's greatest example. Elim Garak saw the repetitive epic as the most elegant form of Cardassian writing. (DS9: "The Wire")
