Edith Rey is a Canadian writer and artist who wrote for Canada's Sesame Street. She wrote 1980 film Hey Babe! (with Buddy Hackett), Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (with Molly Ringwald), multiple episodes of The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo and the 1997 reboot of Lassie, Zoboomafoo, Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings, and Surprise! It's Edible Incredible!. Rey studied Honours painting at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, a BFA in photography at Nova Scotia University of Art and Design, and film at Concordia University.
