Makuta Nui is an island consisting mostly of desert. Makuta Nui had a Brotherhood of Makuta base, and was probably the second most important island to the Brotherhood, (THE most important is Destral). When Destral fell to Pridak and his army and other bases in Nynrah, The Northern Continent, and the Southern Continent, Makuta Nui became the last stitch binding the Brotherhood together. Makuta Nui was important for three reasons. One: It has a very large lake of Energized Protodermis. Two: because it had one of the largest sea ports available to the Brotherhood, and Three: it was THE LARGEST factory making the mechanical Exo-Toa. Makuta Nui was taken over by Vorssah and his Avarians, which puts the Brotherhood in even more danger of collapsing.

- The Makuta Nui is a BIONICLE combiner model introduced 2003. It can be built with the pieces of 8593 Makuta, 8594 Jaller and Gukko, and 8595 Takua and Pewku. The instructions were split between these sets. This form was never seen in the storyline, but is simply one of the many that Makuta could take.
