History: Die Kairn des Schwartzes Wassern lies in the marshy terrain of a wildfowl reserve a few miles out of Berlin, where the river Spree splits into a host of lakes and channels. These wend their sluggish ways with scarcely a ripple, and offer as clear a reflection of the light of Luna as will be found anywhere in the world.

The Kairn was founded by the Get, but was abandoned in the 15th century with the rise of agriculture in the surrounding lands. In the early 19th century, seeing the rise of the Prussian Empire, the Shadow Lords wished to stretch their influence into the palaces; they reopened the Caern, over which they have held sole control ever since. During WWII, the Kairn was scourged by Himmler's mages, but it ultimately survived. Despite the transfer of temporal power west to Bonn and east to Moscow, the Sept was strong enough to retain a disproportionate prominence in the hierarchies of the Shadow Lords. The Alpha, ~Wrath of the Skies~, is one of the most formidable personalities in the tribe.
