Joseph J. Kilbride was a grocer and an art collector from Doshoweh who favoured the separation and independence of the North American Union from the British Empire. A clue found in Buckley Bay on the Queen Charlotte Islands in Vancouver, led Thomas Bushell to Doshoweh in search of the Sons of Liberty conspirators who had stolen The Two Georges painting. Major Shikalimo of the Doshoweh Constabulary showed Colonel Bushell, Dr. Kathleen Flannery and three other RAM Officers a list of possible suspects in the region. Dr. Flannery recognised Kilbride's name as an art collector. His fondness for art made before the founding of the Union made him the primary suspect.
