  • "Momentum" is the 768th episode of Casualty and the 34th episode of the 25th series. It was preceded by "Before the Fall" and followed by "Deception". The episode was directed by Richard Platt and written by Paul Louge. It is set in real-time, thus covers an exact 50 minutes in the emergency department. The episode features the death of paramedic Polly Emmerson, portrayed by Sophia Di Martino.

  • Momentum is a science-fiction novel, to be released in January 2010. The story will be set around the mid-21st century, and will have some descriptions of colonising the Moon.
  • Newton's Third Law of Motion states that for any action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Basically, this means that if one object (A) with momentum hits another object (B), whether moving or stationary, object B will gain momentum as well, and be propelled forward (this principle forms the basics of Goo Throwing). This also means that object A, upon the collision, will be pushed back.
  • Manually triggering any basic or threshold abilities turned off Momentum, but ultimate abilities could be activated without that consequence. Adrenaline was generated fairly slowly (about 80 seconds for 100%). The abilities bar could be minimised to discourage ending the effect by accident, unless the player had no abilities hot-keyed, or if the player wanted to deliberately have a way to end the effect through using an ability. However, activating Momentum with adrenaline remaining drained it completely.
  • Momentum is one of the three in play zones in UFS. Players start with an empty momentum. During the End Step, players may add attacks they played and that dealt damage to their momentum. Cards are added to a player's momentum face-down unless otherwise noted; players can't look at their momentum but may change the order of the cards in their momentum as they choose. Momentum is used as a ressource in UFS; many abilities, such as Powerful or Multiple require the player to discard a certain amount of momentum, meaning a certain number of cards from their momentum zone.
  • In classical mechanics, momentum (pl. momenta; SI unit kg·m/s, or, equivalently, N·s) is the product of the mass and velocity of an object (p = mv). In relativistic mechanics, this quantity is multiplied by the Lorentz factor. Momentum is sometimes referred to as linear momentum to distinguish it from the related subject of angular momentum. Linear momentum is a vector quantity, since it has a direction as well as a magnitude. Angular momentum is a pseudovector quantity because it gains an additional sign flip under an improper rotation. The total momentum of any group of objects remains the same unless outside forces act on the objects (law of conservation of momentum).
  • Momentum: A measure of the motion of a body equal to the product of its mass and velocity. Also called linear momentum. Symbolized universally by the letter P. All bodies in motion have a certain amount of momentum but dependent on the amount of velocity and mass the given body has the amount of momentum will vary. Being that momentum is a vector quantity, or a quantity that is defined by both direction and magnitude, it is imperative to note both the value of the momentum of the given body but also the direction which the momentum is going. Momentum In a Closed System: Answer:
  • The basic abilities triggered while under the effects of Momentum are limited. For melee, only Slice, Dismember, Punish and Sever apparently have a chance of being randomly performed. For ranged, Piercing Shot, Binding Shot, Dazing Shot and Fragmentation Shot are randomly performed. For mage, it appears that only Impact, Wrack, Sonic Wave and Combust are randomly used. The damage of random abilities are not boosted. In addition, any basic abilities in melee or ranged that you meet the requirements for can also be randomly performed. For example, dual wielding two swords enables you to use the ability Havoc. It is worth noting that Momentum will not trigger any basic defence abilities such as Resonance or Anticipate even if a shield is equipped, regardless of combat style.
