“One” is a song by the American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released as the fourth and final single from their fourth album ...And Justice for All. It was also the band's first Top 40 hit single, peaking at #35 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "One" was written in November, 1987 by Metallica’s principal composers James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. The song was released in 1989 as a cassette, vinyl, and a 3" CD single, along with being included on an One (Album) of the same name, as well as being included in the 2 of One VCR tape and The Videos 1989–2004 on DVD years later.
