- The weapon works similarly to Travis' Beam Katanas, most notaby the Blood Berry, but has several key diffrences. While holding the A button down to charge the attack, Shinobu moves faster than she does normaly. This can be abused to enable faster movement during her stages. In addition to this she is also capable of firing her Sonic Sword attack from the first game after charging it up.
- Jacob's Ladder is Shinobu Jacobs main weapon in the video game No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. It is traditional Japanese katana which looks exactly like the Three Girl Rhumba's Sword, Shinobu's previous weapon. The sword still retains its ability to produce the energy wave Gentoken which can be charged to produce dual energy waves. Both swords look exactly alike except that the scabbard no longer bears the charms and Bizarre Jelly figures and is now carried entirely on Shinobu's back. Also, despite being a steel katana, it has a battery gauge which acts as more like its sharpness gauge, as Shinobu has to sharpen it, although with what is not exactly known. The gauge lasts so long, that sharpening it is not actually (or is very rarely) necessary.

- This flower does not breed when planted next to other Jacob's Ladders or other flowers, though it does increase the chance of breeding other flowers when planted next to them. In the Japanese version of the game, the flower is called スズラン (suzuran), a name that translates to "Jacob's ladder" given to the Lily of the Valley. This is likely the flower it is meant to represent, rather than a species in the Polemonium genus, which are often called Jacob's ladder. File:Jacobs Ladder.png

- The nightmares he keeps having are tearing his life apart, one day at a time. They might be after-effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from his term of military service in Vietnam. They might be the side-effects from a secret and illegal drug trial that he and his platoon were unknowingly exposed to. Or they may be a result of his own mind slipping into insanity from the trauma of his young son's death. This movie was one of the primary inspirations for the Silent Hill franchise of games.
