Cost-per-action (also called cost-per-acquisition or CPA) is an online advertising model where the advertiser pays each time a user engages in certain specified action(s), such as clicking on an ad, filling out a form, to buying a product. Generally speaking, the more involved the action, the higher a publisher would expect to be paid for generating it.
