  • Schmock was part of the comedy duo "The Funny Boys" with James Vallely. The two continue to write and perform together from time to time. Schmock hosted a late-night infomercial that ran during the 1990s.
  • Schmock is probably more well-known as a writer and producer for television sitcoms. He created or developed the TV series Brotherly Love and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and has written and produced for Blossom and Dharma & Greg. He was also an executive consultant producer for the AMC series The Lot, which starred Star Trek: The Next Generation actor and "These Are the Voyages..." guest star Jonathan Frakes. It was his association with Frakes that got him the role on the episode. Schmock also directed episodes of this series, as well as for Dharma & Greg and My Wife and Kids.
