Poitton (ポイットン Poitton?) are viruses from the first Mega Man Battle Network game, which have a theme strongly influenced by military combat. The actual body of the virus has never seen; instead, Poitton only appear as lumpy bags of camouflage material, all with the addition of a clearly artificial bird resting on a twig protruding from the bag.

| - Poitton (ポイットン Poitton?) are viruses from the first Mega Man Battle Network game, which have a theme strongly influenced by military combat. The actual body of the virus has never seen; instead, Poitton only appear as lumpy bags of camouflage material, all with the addition of a clearly artificial bird resting on a twig protruding from the bag. The Poitton attack pattern is simple and straightforward. The virus will move around its own field for a small amount of time, and finally approach the border of its area, where it will place a motion-sensor grenade in the first square opposite it. The hand that deploys this grenade is the only portion of the body beneath the camouflage ever seen — it may be that the hand is all that exists. Much like the beam of the KillerEye virus, the grenade is tripped by line-of-sight (horizontal, diagonally up/down, or vertical). If the player crosses the grenade's established trigger line, an explosion will pass through every panel in that line. Stronger variants of this virus deal more damage.
