| - POW Blocks appear in the Mario Kart series. It knocks out all the players on the ground in front of the player that threw it. However, the player can dodge the POW Block if the player is doing a trick in the air.
- The POW Block is an Item that appears in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, Mario Kart Wii (as the rarest item), and Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. As in the other Mario games, it causes a devastating earthquake.
- POW Blocks are red or blue blocks with a white POW on them. They appeared in games such as Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2. In MKFusion, these POW Blocks are of the SMB2 design. They can be picked up and thrown onto the ground, defeating all enemies on screen. POW Blocks are useful against enemies such as Covenant Elites or groups of Hammer Bros., where they kill instantly. POW Blocks are really common in The Library, where you need these to take out swarms of Carrier and Combat Forms, despite being a Halo-themed level.
- The POW Block is an exceptionally rare Item in the Super Mario Bros. series. Creating a huge bang, these POWerful (get it?) blocks can take out all enemies on screen and even bring down a shower of Coins. In the Mario Kart series, POW Blocks are an Item exclusive to Mario Kart Wii. Players usually receive one from an Item Box in 6th-10th (give or take a few).
- The POW Block is an item found in all Paper Mario games. It is capable of doing 2 damage to all enemies. In turn, it flips them over, rendering them helpless. In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, this item is the only method used to defeat Bristles until certian badges such as the Spike Shield are acquired. Also useful when fighting large groups of Koopa Troopas , since it will flip them over rendering them unable to attack in most cases. In Paper Mario, the same effect occurs but only targets ground based enemies. In Super Paper Mario, the POW block is an expensive Item that can deal heavy damage if properly executed by shaking the wii remote up and down.
- The POW Block is a reoccurring item in the Mario series. It appears with similar effects in each game it appears in. When it is struck, it knocks over all of the enemies on screen that are currently touching the ground or a platform. The POW Block has a limited number of uses and shrinks with each hit it receives.
- The POW Block is a weapon found in games featuring the Mario Brothers, Mario and Luigi. Its first appearance was in the original Mario Bros. game in which it would float near the bottom center of the screen and could be hit three times before it would completely disappear. Hitting the Pow Block would count as one hit on every character on screen. Standing Shell Creepers would be knocked onto their backs, Side Steppers would either become agitated or fall over depending on how many previous hits they took, on, and Fighter Flies would be knocked over if they were touching the ground at the time. Any enemies laying on their backs would be flipped back to their feet and either Mario or Luigi would be forced to jump. Later levels in the game stopped having the POW Block appear.
- <default>POW Block</default> The POW Block, also occasionally referred to simply as "POW", is an item that appears in Mario Bros. (the arcade version and its ports; not the Game & Watch one). When hit, it damages all enemies in the screen, but only those that were on the ground. It performs the same function in Super Mario Bros. 2, but it can only be used once as the player has to throw it onto the ground to make a POW.
