Tōya Kuchiki (朽ち木凍夜 Kuchiki Touya "Lit": Decayed Log of the Frozen Night) is a renegade Shinigami from the Kuōchiki Clan and currently one of the most prioritized threats of the Gotei 13 due to his prior influence among the Seireitei still allowing him to run freely and manipulate others through the use of his wealth. It appears that Tōya was once a prosperous Shinigami of the Gotei 13, having had seated positions in the Sixth and Eleventh Division, along with being in the Fourth Division at one point of time. However; after the attainment of his Bankai, his mentality appeared to have crushed, and he suddenly, and mercilessly vaporized an entire squadron of Shinigami within his own squad.
