Energy Literacy Advocates "teaches people about the impact of our nation's energy policy on the national economy, on U.S. foreign policy, and on the global environment, and provides information about energy solutions that promote a strong economy, a constructive foreign policy for the sake of greater national security, and a healthy global environment." Energy Literacy Advocates is engaged in a number of campaigns to educate citizens, media representatives and legislators alike, including objective research into the many policy and energy sources available as well as a multi-media educational effort designed to increase national energy literacy. The precursor organization to Energy Literacy Advocates was formed in 2005 by businessman and entrepreneur Robert Stetson. EPI is organized as an IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
